Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected.
Simply remove and replace the Sync®/APIM module that is attached with 4 screws to the backside of your vehicle’s factory 8-inch touchscreen display. Then insert the included SD map card into the vehicle’s SD card slot. Done!

- Look for a notice of attempted delivery
- Look around the delivery location for your package. Many times carriers will place the package in a location that isn’t typical, ie. behind the fence, by the garage, near the mailbox, etc.Â
- See if someone else accepted the delivery such as a family member or neighbor. In recent past, customers have found the package mixed with other family member’s packages inside their home several days after delivery.
For missing UPS/FedEx shipped packages:
- A UPS1-800-742-5877Â or FedEx1-800-463-3339Â trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. This process takes up to 8 business days to be completed.
For missing USPS packages:
- A US Postal Service 1-800-222-1811Â trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. Many times USPS will suggest that it will take an extra 7 business days after the expected date of delivery to locate the package.
For missing packages that have been shipped to an APO/FPO:
- Please note that the Military Postal Service Agency does not consider a package to be lost until 60 days after the date of mailing. If the customer still has not received their package after 60 days then please contact customer service to assist you in filing a missing package inquiry with the MPSA. Once the inquiry is received, the MPSA will be in contact to positively identify the owner and ship the item to the recipient should it be found.

In the event a lost or missing package is not recovered within 14-days (domestic shipments) or 30-days (international shipments) a police report may be required at the discretion of the customer support manager. All part numbers and/or serial numbers are recorded prior to shipping, this vital information will assist the police with the investigation. Depending solely on the circumstances, the customer support manager may opt to release another identical shipment requiring a direct signature of the original buyer.

I purchased this really as a repair for my current vehicle rather than an upgrade. The touch screen in the vehicle hasn’t worked for a few years now after a long struggle with the dealer to get this part replaced. 1 month after the warranty ran out for this particular part, and the dealer wouldn’t replace it. Even though I had taken the car in for malfunctions of this part on 3 separate occasions prior to it coming out of warranty. Either way, we dealt with the unit not working until finally I purchased this upgrade kit. It was very easy to install and worked like a charm. Plus now we have Navigation. It is nice to finally have a radio, control the output of the climate controls, blue tooth capabilities, navigation, and a backup camera again. Like a new car.

I ordered this on Thursday, received it on Saturday. I used the You tube video for the installation. Very quick, it only took 15 minutes. The Ford dealer told me it couldn’t be done. Navigation fired up the first try and worked as expected. Thank you for a great product. I look forward to trying some of your other products in the future. The display works well, but after having factory navigation systems from Volvo, Chrysler and Chevrolet, I’m a little disappointed at Ford’s software. The system only works by voice prompts and doesn’t allow manual input. It’s difficult to enter an address if the street name is hard to spell or pronounce. I don’t blame the product, I blame the engineers who designed the software.
