Product Installation
Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected. Remove and replace your vehicle’s HMI module with the our pre-programmed replacement HMI module. (Refer to PIC 1A) Route the GPS antenna just beneath the dash top (under the windshield) and plug the blue connector into the newly installed HMI module. Done! - See if someone else accepted the delivery such as a family member or neighbor. In recent past, customers have found the package mixed with other family member’s packages inside their home several days after delivery.
For missing UPS/FedEx shipped packages:
- A UPS1-800-742-5877 or FedEx1-800-463-3339 trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. This process takes up to 8 business days to be completed.
For missing USPS packages:
- A US Postal Service 1-800-222-1811 trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. Many times USPS will suggest that it will take an extra 7 business days after the expected date of delivery to locate the package.
For missing packages that have been shipped to an APO/FPO:
- Please note that the Military Postal Service Agency does not consider a package to be lost until 60 days after the date of mailing. If the customer still has not received their package after 60 days then please contact customer service to assist you in filing a missing package inquiry with the MPSA. Once the inquiry is received, the MPSA will be in contact to positively identify the owner and ship the item to the recipient should it be found.
In the event a lost or missing package is not recovered within 14-days (domestic shipments) or 30-days (international shipments) a police report may be required at the discretion of the customer support manager. All part numbers and/or serial numbers are recorded prior to shipping, this vital information will assist the police with the investigation. took a couple days to ship, but everything arrived fine, perfect condition, had no real issues getting everything installed and set up, and now it all works like a charm. if I had any suggestion, it’d be updating the accompanying YouTube video, or adding another that shows the location of the radio module, and also how to remove and replace the USB assembly (almost hit a bit of a snag trying to remove that).

It is worth it! I have a 2015 impala with 8" screen l decided to get the factory nav and carplay. Trust me people spend the $1,500.00 it is perfect also a tip if you are not a car tech person take it to Bestbuy with the video above and they will install for you! Charged me $45.78 total for the very professional install.

When I purchased my Impala I had to buy out of stock to use an additional savings offer. I wanted an LTZ, but could not find one local with Nav. Wierd… So, I ended up with everything I wanted except the Nav. My brother put one of these in his truck and was very happy with it. I knew I had to get this upgrade. As stated, easy to install, and works fantasic. If you want Travel Link, you my have to be firm with them. They will tell you your equipment is not comparable. They went through their "Dealer support" to complete the upgrade. Bottom line, I am now 100% happy with my beautiful red Impala!

Used the nav. for short trips so far. Works great. Features are well thought out. Still learning. Install video was very good just a few sore finger tips removing the connectors. Looking forward to doing a long run soon.

The only problem I had was with the installation. The unit is not located near floor in my 2015 Chevy Impala. It’s up under the dash to the right of the glove-box. It’s not simple to get old unit out and new unit back in place especially if you’re 6’4.5" tall and tip the scale at 260 lbs. After installation unit is plug in and play. The only other thing I have to say is the unit is pricey..

I had a 2014 Impala LT with MyLink UO5 option before installing the new MyLink UO6 option with NAV. Took about 1 hour to install. I had no problem calling SiriusXm to add Nav Traffic and weather. Both work great. For those installing, the plug releases are on the back of each plug going into the old IO5 module. I would highly recomend this upgrade.

I have a 2014 Impala and if you’ve read all the blogs and forums and spoke with someone at GM, than you’ll know that they have no plans on updating the previous MyLink systems. In fact they add insult to injury by suggesting that customers get new cars if they want all the new features, wel OEM is that back door way to get everything and more. They really took care of me and made sure that I got my order promptly. The customer service from everyone in the office was outstanding and I couldn’t be even more happier with my order than ever. Thanks a lot guys.
