Product Installation
Installation of this product would be rated a 2 out of 5. 1 being extremely easy and 5 being extremely difficult. It is recommended prior to installing any automotive electronics that the negative battery terminal be disconnected. Simply remove and replace your dash “bezel” which is secured with only retaining clips (bezel removal guide). Once removed this will allow clear access to the 4 screws that secure the radio to the dash (radio removal guide). A 911 cable will also be provided which simply plugs into the purple connector on the backside of the radio.

For missing USPS packages:
- A US Postal Service 1-800-222-1811Â trace investigation must be initiated as soon as possible. Many times USPS will suggest that it will take an extra 7 business days after the expected date of delivery to locate the package.
For missing packages that have been shipped to an APO/FPO:
- Please note that the Military Postal Service Agency does not consider a package to be lost until 60 days after the date of mailing. If the customer still has not received their package after 60 days then please contact customer service to assist you in filing a missing package inquiry with the MPSA. Once the inquiry is received, the MPSA will be in contact to positively identify the owner and ship the item to the recipient should it be found.

My 2014 Grand Cherokee was literally plug and play. Received the radio and installed it. Very easy. Now I have navigation which is a plus and saved me from purchasing a new vehicle. The customer service was also awesome, very easy to work with when I had questions.

Installation was easier than advertised. It took a few drives before the system would display the correct logo (Jeep vs. RAM) or take less than a minute to power up completely and a message still occasionally pops up indicating "Contact Dealer" re: the 911 cable, but overall satisfied.

I really had no idea how easy and seamless the process would be! I was nervous I would get the wrong bezel or the items might be damaged, but everything Faas absolutely perfect! My brother installed the upgraded radio into my Jeep in about 15 minutes and said it was beyond easy. It worked perfectly with not a single issue! I am beyond pleased and excited!

Still trying to get the sxm to work. Navigation came up with the addition of the splitter you sent. Otherwise I’m happy. Gonna hate it if I have to go to the dealer to fix or locate the sxm antenna.

Tutorial video made installation really simple, even for someone who doesn’t do a lot with cars, though part of the process was a little tougher than the video depicts (specifically pulling out the radio bezel and removing the air vents from it). Something to be aware of, my car (2017 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 5.0/RA2) was not pre-wired for Sirius or GPS (didn’t have the yellow plug), so I’ve had to go back and order the dual antenna to get those features to work. Other than that, no complaints.

One of the few items I wanted that I did not get in my Jeep was the Uconnect 8.4. The dealer told me I was stuck with the 5.0. Needless to say I was surprised and skeptical when I found OEMPartsco.com and their claim that I could upgrade from 50.0 to 8.4. I contacted them before ordering and was told if for any reason it did not work I could return it and get a full refund.
I ordered and received the 8.4 uconnect. I watched the installation video for my vehicle and followed the installation procedure which took between 5 and 10 minutes to complete and went exactly as they described. The uconnect 8.4 works as promised and I like my Jeep even more with the 8.4.

This radio was a significant upgrade to what I had previously. The functionality is great and it looks awesome! Installation was a little more difficult than it was described. Getting the air vents out of the old bezel and into the new one was the trickiest part. Other than that, it was simple to install!

I have no electrical or sterro system experience and after I watched the YouTube video, I put switch my old stereo screen out with this new 8.4AN RA4 radio upgrade in less than 10 minutes. It looks clean and sleek and much better compared to the factory radio screen.

This company’s customer service is by far one of the best if not the best I have ever experienced! Words in a review can’t express enough how awesome & helpful these guys are. If you have any problems, these guys will make sure to resolve it/do whatever it takes so that it’s working correctly. Being in sales and customer service myself, I recognize great service when I experience it and want to make sure it’s known. Without going into much depth of the problems I was having since it involved a multitude of variables- I had the pleasure of speaking/working with Joe M. who sat on the phone with me for probably a total of 1.5 hours+ over a course of a few conversations. He thoroughly walked me through step by step while going over every possible scenario and solutions to get the problem(s) resolved. They weren’t happy unless I was happy and everything working correctly. This is true customer service and a company that cares about it’s customers. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to order whatever you need from these guys. If you experience any sort of problem, they will stick with you until it’s resolved so you can rest assured you are not left alone in the dark.
Concerning the Radio, after the initial headaches and frustration with the Navigation- everything now works beautifully like a charm just as advertised. The installation is really easy even easier after you do it a couple times. Switching from the 5in Uconnect with no Navigation (or many other bells and whistles) to 8.4 RA4 is a dramatic difference and really awesome to know this upgrade does exist! And it seems infotainment is the only one that offers it. The navigation works perfectly and the HD Radio is crystal clear. Everything about it is exactly what I was looking to do and infotainment is the only source I would ever consider after my experience. Thank You!

Easy to install. However delivery of he unit had some problems. 1st the GPS wire was not connected inside the unit properly. 2nd the replacement unit sent was a RA3 model not the RA4 unit. 3rd The correct unit was received and installed quickly

This is a great factory unit. They sent me a new radio/controll panel bezel and radio. I upgraded from the factory small screen to the larger 8.4 screen. It is a quick 5 minute change out and the new radio/gps works perfectly. This is a very well run OEM replacement site. The ordering and followup by this company is Terrific. Thanks to Tyler and Chris

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience purchasing my radio. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions very promptly. I ordered the radio on a Monday and it was waiting for me on my doorstep that Wednesday. Install was a breeze with the help of the online how-to video. The only reason that this review is not a 5 is because I noticed the GPS does not recognize a newer road in my area. It has been open for over 2 years. I just feel with purchasing this radio new, the GPS should be as up to date as possible. As for right now, I can live with it and if I need to, I can update the software later. Overall though, I would recommend this company to anyone.

When we bought our 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo, it had the RA2 5.0 (no) Sirius radio. We thought it had Sirius capability,but it didn’t. We tried everywhere to upgrade this and everyone said it could not be be done. They all said the factory radio was hard wired and we were basically screwed. The dealer said it was impossible to upgrade, as well as all of the Jeep online sites. In fact everyone we contacted said it was impossible! We were sick. Then we happened across OEM. After many assurances by OEM, we decided to buy the 8.4 RA4 radio with the bezel. We had it professionally installed by The Specialists in Tucson, AZ. They placed the factory dual antenna provided by OEM in the dashboard speaker Well instead of having to drill through the roof of the Jeep. Anyway, it all works perfectly!!! It is awesome! The NAV, Sirius, everything works great and it looks factory installed. Many thanks to OEM! You guys are awesome. We could not be more pleased. Thank you so much! 🙂

Overall good experience. Shipping was a little slow but I ordered the weekend before thanksgiving so I will let the slide on that. The radio and bezel were as advertised and installed with no problem. So far the radio/nav are working great with no issues.

Tutorial video made installation really simple, even for someone who doesn’t do a lot with cars, though part of the process was a little tougher than the video depicts (specifically pulling out the radio bezel and removing the air vents from it). Something to be aware of, my car (2017 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 5.0/RA2) was not pre-wired for Sirius or GPS (didn’t have the yellow plug), so I’ve had to go back and order the dual antenna to get those features to work. Other than that, no complaints.

Concerning the Radio, after the initial headaches and frustration with the Navigation- everything now works beautifully like a charm just as advertised. The installation is really easy even easier after you do it a couple times. Switching from the 5in Uconnect with no Navigation (or many other bells and whistles) to 8.4 RA4 is a dramatic difference and really awesome to know this upgrade does exist! And it seems infotainment is the only one that offers it. The navigation works perfectly and the HD Radio is crystal clear. Everything about it is exactly what I was looking to do and infotainment is the only source I would ever consider after my experience. Thank You!

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience purchasing my radio. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions very promptly. I ordered the radio on a Monday and it was waiting for me on my doorstep that Wednesday. Install was a breeze with the help of the online how-to video. The only reason that this review is not a 5 is because I noticed the GPS does not recognize a newer road in my area. It has been open for over 2 years. I just feel with purchasing this radio new, the GPS should be as up to date as possible. As for right now, I can live with it and if I need to, I can update the software later. Overall though, I would recommend this company to anyone.

When we bought our 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo, it had the RA2 5.0 (no) Sirius radio. We thought it had Sirius capability,but it didn’t. We tried everywhere to upgrade this and everyone said it could not be be done. They all said the factory radio was hard wired and we were basically screwed. The dealer said it was impossible to upgrade, as well as all of the Jeep online sites. In fact everyone we contacted said it was impossible! We were sick. Then we happened across OEM. After many assurances by OEM, we decided to buy the 8.4 RA4 radio with the bezel. We had it professionally installed by The Specialists in Tucson, AZ. They placed the factory dual antenna provided by OEM in the dashboard speaker Well instead of having to drill through the roof of the Jeep. Anyway, it all works perfectly!!! It is awesome! The NAV, Sirius, everything works great and it looks factory installed. Many thanks to OEM! You guys are awesome. We could not be more pleased. Thank you so much! 🙂
